I missed the local fairground plant sale AND the county extension office plant sale because these organizations only post on facebook. The wife follows these organizations and never saw anything until

@badneighbor Our local government etc. also posts mostly on Facebook. Same thing: we find out after the events.
We do have a local paper...who reports (on their website and Facebook) on current happenings about an hour before they happen.
And those show in your Facebook feed a few days later.
I miss actual newspapers
