Today I am seriously considering scrapping the whole extension and just taking my python code, bundling it as a application service via Tauri and be done with it.

I'm not discarding skill issue, but holy crap how hard can it be to get an actual database working in a browser extension??!

I don't mean "key-value store". I mean an actual system that can let me store structured data and make queries, hopefully filter from the the data set and ideally that lets me join distinct data sets?
